Access Ready lights provide the operator a visual cue the access opening is ready for picking or the putting away of stock. This reduces the risk of user-related errors caused by the interruption of the safety photocells (light barrier) while they are active.
When the operator enters the access opening while the tray is still moving, the light barrier is interrupted and the machine stops immediately as a safety reasons. The operator needs to reset the light barrier and the machine resumes movement.
Reducing light barrier interruptions avoids safety resets and leads to increased machine efficiency and operator productivity.
Access Ready Lights are available as an upgrade for all Kardex Shuttle models fitted with shutter doors.
